Reviews and Ratings
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms exceeded my expectations, being very clean, light, and exuding a comfortable vibe with a cozy bed. The service was exceptional, with friendly and accommodating staff who made my stay truly enjoyable. The location, although a bit unusual being in an old grammar school at the outskirts of town, provided a quiet atmosphere. The dining experience was superb, offering delicious cooked-to-order dishes and a welcoming ambiance. Overall, a great value for the money.
The Hickman Hill Hotel offers fabulous rooms, newly furnished and of the highest standard as depicted on their website. The waterfall shower was great, but a bath in the room would have been a nice addition. The service was first class, making our weekend stay welcoming and enjoyable. The location is close to the center of Gainsborough with ample parking, perfect for exploring the town. The dining experience was top-notch with a great selection of fresh fruit and a lovely setting in an old grammar school building. Overall, a wonderful stay with some room for minor improvements.
The hotel is a hidden gem with beautiful gardens, providing a serene and picturesque setting close to the town center. The rooms were tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, with a cozy ambiance, although the lack of hot water for a bath was a bit of a letdown. The extraordinary service extended by the team, especially Courtney and Chef Colin, truly made our first visit extraordinary. The dining experience was exceptional, offering a delightful culinary journey, while the location, though unique, was a peaceful oasis with remarkable gardens.
